AED donated to school

20th April 2016

Stuart Evans, Head Teacher, is seen pictured accepting the donated Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on behalf of Finstall First School.  An AED is used in cases of life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias which lead to cardiac arrest. The AED device has been donated by Worcestershire Ambulance Service, the school being nominated by Gemma La-Fontaine whose children attend the school.    Matt Mason, the Deputy Head Teacher, was keen to organise the installation of an AED within school.  One of the children currently attending the school has a diagnosed heart condition, but the AED is also in place for the children, staff, parents visiting the school and for the local community who regularly let the premises.  The school wishes to personally thank Bobby Qayum for all his support in making this happen.
