Year 4 Enterprise Day

17th May 2016
Year 4 pupils were on the playground from 2.45pm today, running various stalls as part of their '£5 Challenge' .

Each group of Year 4 pupils were given a £5 'Start up fund' with which to raise as much money as they could.  All proceeds will go to the Charity 'Akamba' which supports a school in Kenya.  The children found out about what life was like at this school as part of their geography lessons studying Africa.

It was wonderful to see the huge variety of different stalls the children were running, as well as their organisation and enthusiasm for the event.  There were some very creative ideas for stalls and the children had worked hard to organise and advertise their stalls.  Many of the Year 4 Parents had obviously given the children a great deal of support outside of school, so can I thank them especially giving up their time.
